Amanda Bauer

Soon after Amanda Bauer arrived in Valdez from Independence, Kansas in 1995 she began working at Stan Stephens Cruises cleaning and supplying boats, as well as driving vans and buses for transfers to tours. Quickly the company offered her a year-round position managing all of the accounting for the company. This position also required her to be second-person-in-charge for all operations decisions. In 2007, Amanda branched out her skills one step farther and received her 100 Ton Masters license. Today, when you work with Stan Stephens Cruises you may encounter Amanda when making a reservation, being transferred from an RV Park, or driving your tour.

Amanda has taken the love of her new home to heart and spends many hours working to ensure proper environmental protections measures are in place and working to ensure that there is a sustainable commercial fishery in the Sound. She does this by serving on the Prince William Sound Regional Citizens Advisory Council, Prince William Sound Aquaculture Corporation, Valdez Marine Safety Committee, and Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Public Advisory Committee.
